Licence terms

The conditions under which you may use the Brainee app.

Effective from 1 November 2026

Ce document n'est tenu qu'en tchèque et en anglais. Une traduction juridique est l'affaire d'un avocat, pas d'une machine — vous lisez donc la version anglaise.

The author and holder of economic rights to the Brainee app is Filip Zemánek, Company ID (IČO) 14207893. By downloading or using the app you accept these licence terms. They supplement the Terms of Service, which apply alongside them.

1. Scope of the licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for as long as your account exists. The licence is not limited by territory.

The licence covers the use of the app as such. We are not selling you the software and we are not transferring copyright in it.

2. What the licence does not cover

  • reproducing, distributing or communicating the app to the public beyond ordinary use,
  • reverse engineering, decompiling or disassembling the code, except to the extent the law expressly allows,
  • removing or obscuring authorship notices and trade marks,
  • sub-licensing, renting or running the app as a service for third parties.

3. Your content

The tasks, notes and recordings you put into the app remain yours. You grant us only the licence necessary to provide the service — to store the content, transmit it for processing and display it back to you. The licence ends when the content or the account is deleted.

We do not use your content to train public models and we do not pass it on for that purpose.

4. Trade marks

The Brainee name, logo and visual identity are protected. You may not use them without our written consent, other than ordinary references to the service.

5. Updates

We update the app continuously. Updates are part of the licence. Some may require a newer operating system — we support iOS 16 and later and Android 10 and later.

6. Third-party software

The app uses third-party libraries distributed under open-source licences, chiefly MIT, Apache 2.0 and BSD. The full list including licence texts is in the app under Settings → Third-party licences. Those components are governed by their own licence terms, which take precedence over this document.

7. Termination

The licence ends when the account is deleted or the contract ends. In the event of a serious breach of these terms we may also terminate it unilaterally; the procedure and the refund of the proportionate part of the subscription are governed by the Terms of Service.

8. App stores

Neither Apple nor Google is a party to this licence and neither is responsible for the app or its content. If you obtain the app through the App Store, Apple's usage rules apply alongside these terms; to the extent they conflict, Apple's rules prevail.
